A month after Lyle's successfully amazing performance on Show Us What You Got, Alistair brings him and the Primms to court, still claiming Lyle doesn't belong. However, Hector, having turned against his old friend with help from Loretta, reveals the truth, that all exotic animals can live in the apartment on East 88th Street, a rule that has been made by his grandmother, who also wouldn't have wanted Lyle taken to the zoo she founded before selflessly making the rule. As a result, Hector, Lyle, and the Primms win, the Primms adopt Loretta into their family when she is still sick of her former owner's true nature, which she began to feel when he had called the animal control on Lyle the previous month, and Alistair is arrested, forced to do community service, and/or evicted from the apartment for good
