Broken coffins litter the roads, the water supply has been cut off, the mobile phone signal has dropped and the village has completely disappeared from satellite maps. Following Aquarius, Kleber Mendonça Filho shares directorial credit with long-time collaborator Juliano Dornelles in this stuffed-to-the-gills futuristic parable.
