During the first night in the house on East 88th Street, Josh is a tad nervous about some noises he hears outside and in the attic. He discovers a fully grown Lyle in the attic and accepts Hector's request to take good care of Lyle. albiet reluctantly. The following morning, Josh attends his first day of school, where he tries to fit in with other kids, especially attempting to successfully wrestle, to no avail. That evening, as he tries to find ways to make new friends at his school, Josh soon hears Lyle singing and goes with Loretta, who also likes him, to check it out.
