It is the second installment in the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise. The film takes place one year after the events of its predecessor. I Still Know What You Did Last Summer received negative reviews and grossed $84 million on a budget of $24 million. It was shot in Mexico and California. It was followed by I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer in 2006.
