https://www.tiff.net/films/climax/ Art-house agitator Gaspar Noé (Love, Enter the Void), whose reputation for shocking violence and explicit sexuality has been known to incite audiences to race for the exits, mesmerizes with his latest and most exhilarating provocation. Set in 1996 and based loosely on a true story, Climax depicts in hallucinatory detail the delirium — and depravity — that envelops a dance troupe's post-rehearsal party after a punch bowl of sangria is spiked with LSD. As each dancer's psyche begins to disintegrate, creeping paranoia gives rise to deep-seated prejudices within the group that eventually explode into pandemonium, set to a playlist of infectious, period-appropriate needle-drops from the likes of Cerrone, M\A\R\R\S, and Aphex Twin. Climax is part musical, part horror, and all (nasty) trip.
Climax
When a dance troupe is lured to an empty school, a bowl of drug-laced sangria causes their jubilant rehearsal to descend into a dark and explosive nightmare as they try to survive the night—and find who's responsible—before it's too late.
