WAR SAILOR A film by Gunnar Vikene Starring Kristoffer Joner ("The Revenant", "Mission Impossible - Fallout"), Pål Sverre Hagen ("Troubled Water", "Kon-Tiki"), Ine Marie Wilmann ("Sonia: The White Swan") Music by Hauschka ("Lion") WAR SAILOR tells the story of two Norwegian sailors, trying to survive on their merchant ship when German submarines attack them at the outbreak of WWII. All they hope for, is to see their families again, who come under attack of both British and German missiles in Bergen. Director Gunnar Vikene states, "WAR SAILOR is a universal narrative about the human consequences of war, a story with war as the antagonist, about how everyday–people experience it and how it separates a family." The Norwegian - German - Maltese co-production is produced by Mer Film ("The Innocents", "Flee", "What Will People Say", "Birds of Passage", producer Maria Ekerhovd) in co-production with Rohfilm Factory (Karsten Stöter), Studio Hamburg and Falkun Films (Pierre Ellul and Anika Psaila Savona).
